2012 5-K RESULTS

Date:	Saturday, September 22nd, 2012
Time:	Run start time is 8:00 a.m.
5-K Course:	Start at Saint Joseph Berea, down Chestnut St., past College Square and down Broadway through Old Town Berea, Jefferson St., Ellipse St. and Hwy 25 with race ending at Saint Joseph Berea. See attached map for details
1 Mile Run / Walk:	Start at Saint Joseph Berea, walk along Chestnut St. to Ellipse, turn-around and walk back to St. Joseph Berea race start line.
Conducting Race & Finish Line Results: John's Run Walk Shop
Participants:	Open to all runners & walkers in good health.
Awards / Prizes:	Awars / Prizes for 5-K Run will be presented at the conclusion of the race at Saint Joseph Berea. Prizes include: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall in each division.
Pre-Registration:	Pre-registration fee for the 5K Run is $20.00 (Due September 15, 2012). Please do not mail registration form after Sept. 15th. T-Shirts Commemorating the event will be available to individuals who pre-register for the event. You many order additional T-Shirts at a charge of $8.00 per shirt. The registration fee is non-refundable.
Registration:	On-Site Registration (Day of Event: $25.00, with T-Shirt subject to availabilty.) If registring on day of event, please arrive 45 minutes prior to race start time. Check in and on-site registration begins at 7:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph Berea (305 Estill St.). Participants need to report at least 30 minutes prior to start time.

	New for 2012 - 2013 Introducing the Berea Championship Series Sponsored by the Berea Parks and Recreation Dept.
	A series of five individual races of varying distances with runners required to compete in at least three races to qualify for the awards through a point system for each event.
Qualifying Races:	Get Healthy Berea: 8K May 12, 2012 Spoonbread Festival : 5K Sept. 22, 2012 Jingle Bell Run: 5K on Dec. 1, 2012 The Home Run: 5K March 16, 2013 Berea Police Dept.: 10K April 13, 2013
Awards	First, Second and Third Place (Mail and Female). All particpants in the Berea Championship Series receive a Customized medal in additon to the T-shirts from the individual qualifying races from which the participated. Winners will be recognized during the awards ceremony on April 13, 2013 as part of the Berea Police Department's Annual 10k Race.
Registration	Registration for the Berea Championship series is FREE. Participants will need to register on-line at www.eventbrite.com by 9-1-12 Please note registration for each qualifying race requires a separate registration.
Points	The Berea Parks and Recreation Department will be compiling points based on the race results of the runners from qualifying events.
